What is EndoTherm?

EndoTherm is an energy-saving additive for hydronic (water-based) heating and cooling systems including boilers, chiller, heat pumps and geothermal systems.

The high surface tension of the water or a glycol/water mixture limits the system’s ability to transfer heat. By reducing the surface tension of the system water by 60%, EndoTherm drastically improves heat transfer, optimizing system efficiency and saving energy.

Hitting temperature set-points quicker means building HVAC systems run less frequently to maintain temperature. The result is proven energy savings and a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions, with an average simple payback in less than two years.

Optional Equipment

Pace Automated Feed System monitors water levels and maintains EndoTherm concentrations for optimum system performance.
Cloud-based Server Connection tracks consumption and provides staff with low level and water loss alerts in real-time.

Short on Carbon Footprint Targets

A large school district had established targets to reduce their carbon footprint by reducing energy consumption and the associated emissions. They had replaced many boilers and optimized HVAC controls to minimize energy consumption and reduce emissions. Unfortunately their results were falling short of their targets. They investigate alternative way to lower building emissions and found EndoTherm.

Innovating Efficiency

Pace experts examined the systems and installed EndoTherm treatment  into several boiler systems to reduced the surface tension of water and improve heat transfer. High surface tension prevents ideal heat transfer in hydronic boilers, heat exchangers, radiators, air handling units and other hydronic equipment. Poor heat transfer minimizes boiler efficiency and increases energy consumption.

A Smaller Footprint

Maintenance managers observed almost immediate results with the building reaching and maintaining temperature without struggle. After a complete heating season, the natural gas consumption was weather normalized and compared against previous years. District Energy Managers found that the schools treated with EndoTherm consumed 11.17% less natural gas than previous years, resulting in a 50,500 kg reduction in carbon emissions. Plans are underway to expand the Districts use of EndoTherm to achieve carbon reduction targets.
