Long Lasting & Effective Disinfectant

Chemprocide is a hospital-grade disinfectant, virucide, fungicide, and deodorizer approved for food production and processing, as well as nearly every industrial microbial control application. It is an economical way to sanitize and disinfect food contact surfaces, medical facilities and non-critical equipment, greenhouses, restaurants, schools, and hotels.

Approved Virucide and Fungicide

Approved by Health Canada as a virucide, Chemprocide eliminates human coronavirus 229E and is likely to kill the SARS-CoV-2 — the virus that causes COVID-19 — when applied to hard non-porous surfaces after cleaning surfaces first.

Chemprocide is odourless, unlike other industrial disinfectants which emit strong chemical smells. When diluted, Chemprocide will not bleach clothing or burn skin like oxidizing disinfectants. The shelf life is up to twice as long as other oxidizers on the market.

The broad-spectrum disinfectant has a neutral pH, making it non-corrosive to surfaces. It is safe for use on many different materials such as wood, PVC pipes, corrugated plastic, stainless steel, aluminum, iron, concrete, poly, and glass.

Approved as a fungicide, it controls mildew and mold on surfaces. Excellent for cross-contamination prevention, when diluted according to the label, it is commonly employed in microbial control on hard surfaces, in footbaths, and tool washes prior to entering growing areas and packing houses.

Livestock Barn Disinfectant

Housing animals and poultry is a highly regulated environment that requires cleaning and disinfection of containment areas at regular intervals. Dairy, poultry, meat, and wool production depends on fast and reliable products to maintain health compliance with as little disruption as possible.

Chemprocide is Health Canada-approved for disinfection of Industrial Livestock Housing. Following recommended cleaning procedures, operators need only 10 minutes of surface contact to accomplish a compliant housing environment.

Including Chemprocide in the cleaning procedure reduces downtime and the number of hours needed for disinfection, which lowers the cost of planned shutdowns.

Lax Procedures

A greenhouse operator was experiencing cross-contamination resulting in significant product loss. Trays had been inadequately disinfected between crops. Employees were found traveling between facilities without engaging in proper sanitation procedures.

A New Approach

After some research, operators ordered Chemprocide as part of a full-facility sanitation solution. Along with more stringent disinfecting procedures between crops, they used Chemprocide to mitigate ongoing microbial growth on hard surfaces. A cross-contamination procedure included tool-washing and foot baths.

Recovery

Chemprocide helped resolve the cross-contamination issue and resulted in greatly improved product quality. New sanitation procedures carried over to other parts of the operation, making it a safer site for both plants and employees.
