Pace ACBD System® – 3 Easy Steps

Always Clean Before Disinfecting

Our Plant Health Advocates have developed Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for local and multinational food production companies using HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) standards. Cleaning schedules should comply with regulations and focus on protecting workers and the general public.

Step 1: Scrub the area with appropriate cleaner.

Step 2: Thoroughly rinse the cleaner off with water.

Step 3: Apply a broad spectrum disinfectant at recommended concentrations to kill target microbes.

Download the Standard Operating Procedures and contact a Pace Plant Health Advocate with any procedural questions and for ordering cleaning and disinfecting supplies for your facility.

Application

Too Many Products for One Problem

A tomato greenhouse grower processed and shipped product from a single farm and facility. What started as an odor problem lead to the use of as many as 12 different cleaning products from different brands. Operators had little knowledge of how each product performed or reacted to each other.

From Irrigation Lines to Shoes

A sanitation expert discovered biofilm buildup in irrigation lines was causing the odor and could potentially lead to disease. Sanitation of hard surfaces was a concern and procedures for cross-contamination were out of compliance. The expert recommended a full operation solution using a combination of KleenGrow and Strip-It Pro.

Fewer Cleaners, Better Results

Following the Pace ACBD System®, irrigation lines were flushed with Strip-It Pro thus eliminating biofilm and mineral deposits. It was also used for general cleaning of hard surfaces, trays, racks and processing equipment.  KleenGrow was applied last to offer lasting surface and line protection for up to 2-4 weeks.
